The University of Michigan volleyball team continued its #MGoEurope journey on Monday (June 25) with a trip from Milan to Venice, with a stop to sightsee in Verona along the way. Michigan was able to showcase the day's travels on the @NCAAvolleyball Instagram account, which has nearly 50,000 followers.
9 a.m. -- With no morning practice scheduled, the team is able to sleep in before eating one final meal in Milan -- breakfast at the hotel. Once finished, the girls gather their suitcases to make the trek to Verona and then on to Venice.
11 a.m. -- Michigan loads up the bus and departs for Verona, which is approximately a two-hour drive from Milan. The scenic drive features rolling hills and farms.
1 p.m. -- The team bus enters the city of Verona and the Wolverines make the short walk from the bus station into town. They gather near the famous balcony from the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet before going off in groups to eat lunch and shop. In addition to the Capulet house, which is one of the most famous icons in the area, the city is home to the Piazza Bra arena, which was built in the first century and is still in use today.

4:30 p.m. -- Tired after lunch and sightseeing, the team heads back to the bus station and makes its way to Venice, where Michigan will be staying for two nights. The drive is about an hour and a half, which gives the girls time to take a nap.
6 p.m. -- The team bus arrives at the team's Venice hotel. It is a resort-style hotel, and the girls quickly get settled into their rooms before heading down to the pool for some relaxation.

8:30 p.m. -- The resort is home to a beautiful restaurant, where the team dines for dinner. Formal dress is required, so the girls wear their best clothes for the occasion. The meal is buffet style, and per Italian custom, every person in the restaurant dines at the same time.
10:30 p.m. -- Lights out! After a long day of travel and sightseeing, the team is ready for bed. Tomorrow will feature more sightseeing -- this time on the main island of Venice.
