DEXTER, Mich. -- Runners from the No. 18-ranked University of Michigan women's cross country team officially brought the regular season to its end at the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic on Friday (Oct. 25).
Faith Reynolds led the way for the Wolverines with an eighth-place finish, covering the five-kilometer (3.11-mile) Hudson Mills Metropark course in 17:56.1.
Rounding out Michigan's lineup were ninth-place Megan Worrel (17:58.3), 10th-place Samantha Saenz (18:01.5), 12th-place Aurora Rynda (18:12.8), 13th-place Julia Vanitvelt (18:15.4), 17th-place Lexi Munley (18:27.9), 18th-place Hannah Palomino (18:31.1) and 20th-place Charlotte Cochrane (18:37.9).
There were no team scores kept in the meet, which also featured runners from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Grace Christian, Michigan State, Oakland, Toledo and Western Michigan. Unattached runners also were also allowed.
Former Wolverine All-American Erin Finn took the victory in 16:39.2, followed by unattached Michigan runner Amber Gall in 17:15.1.
With the regular season now complete, the Wolverines will turn their full attention toward next Sunday's (Nov. 3) Big Ten Championships in Columbus, Ohio, where they will attempt to win a fourth-consecutive team title.
