KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Senior Jack Hallahan (first team), junior Jackson Ragen (second team) and junior Marc Ybarra (third team) of the University of Michigan men's soccer team were named United Soccer Coaches All-North Region selections on Monday (Dec. 9).
Hallahan (Redditch, England) was named to the first team as a midfielder after accumulating 16 points (five goals, six assists) in his final collegiate season. He is an All-Region pick for the third consecutive year, making the first team in 2018 and the second team in 2017, both as a forward. Additionally, Hallahan becomes the second man in program history to earn first-team honors twice, joining Knox Cameron (2001, 2003). Unquestionably one of the best players to ever wear the Maize and Blue kit, Hallahan accumulated 73 points in 79 career matches, scoring 26 goals and tallying 21 assists. Among the school's all-time leaders, he ranks second in points, third in goals, tied for third in assists and tied for eighth in minutes played (6,269).
Ragen (Seattle, Washington) earns a second-team nod, representing a defense that set a school record for lowest goals-against average (0.79) and tied a school record for fewest goals conceded (18). He started 21 matches this season, tallying eight points (2G, 4A).
Ybarra (Ann Arbor, Michigan) made the third team as a midfielder, recording eight assists. One of the team's three captains, Ybarra played in every minute of every match (2,062), starting all 22 contests. An All-Big Ten (second team) choice this season, he converted the decisive PK in 5-4 shootout win over Wright State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 24.

Michigan went 11-5-6 in 2019, finishing third in the Big Ten (4-1-3) and as the runner-up in the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year, reaching the third round for the first time since 2010.
