
Danna Signs with Michigan Football Program as Graduate Transfer

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football program announced Tuesday (Feb. 19) that defensive lineman Michael Danna will be joining the team as a graduate transfer for the 2019 season. A Detroit native, Danna spent the past four seasons at Central Michigan University.
Danna accumulated 151 career tackles in Mt. Pleasant, including 28 tackles for loss and 15 sacks from his defensive end spot. Danna also forced four fumbles, recovered four fumbles and batted down one pass. He played in 38 career contests and started 16 games along the defensive line.
During the 2018 season, Danna tallied a career-best 66 tackles, with 15 TFLs and 9.5 sacks. He added three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Danna set career highs with 10 tackles against Toledo (Nov. 23) and a four-sack effort against Maine (Sept. 22). For his season performance, Danna was named All-MAC first team and earned the Chippewas' Herb Deromedi Most Valuable Player Award.
