ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Sixteen members of the University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team attempted to swim faster times at the Michigan Last Chance Meet on Tuesday (March 5) at Canham Natatorium.
Of the swimmers in the water, junior Alex Martin blew by his old personal record in the 200-yard butterfly, going nearly five seconds faster than his prior best to clock in at 1:45.30. Freshman Eric Storms also went slightly faster in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking at 49.06.
The NCAA Championships take place from March 27-30 in Austin, Texas. The divers will attempt to qualify at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, next Thursday through Saturday (March 14-16) in West Lafayette, Indiana.
