Meyrer Runs at Euro U23 Championships

GAVLE, Sweden -- University of Michigan distance runner Devin Meyrer represented Germany at the European U23 Championships on Saturday (July 13).
Meyrer, a rising junior on the track and field and cross country teams who was born in Germany, finished 20th in the 5,000-meter final.
He clocked 14:43.63 in the 12-and-a-half lap race. France's Jimmy Gressier took the win in 14:16.55.
Michigan will also be represented in the European U20 Championships in Sweden next weekend, this time by incoming freshman hurdler Joshua Zeller.
