• Michigan and Wisconsin met today for the 20th time in a Big Ten opener. U-M fell to 17-3 all-time in those games. Michigan leads the all-time series 51-16-1.
• Fifth-year senior Jon Runyan and junior wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones returned to the lineup after each missed the first two games. A 2018 All-Big Ten first-team performer, Runyan started at left tackle, and Peoples-Jones played as a reserve at receiver. Peoples-Jones secured a five-yard touchdown pass from Shea Patterson with 4:56 to play in regulation for the ninth receiving score of his career.
• Quarterback Shea Patterson's 68-yard, first-quarter connection with wide receiver Ronnie Bell was U-M's longest pass play since a 79-yard reception from Donovan Peoples-Jones against Michigan State in 2018.
• It was also the longest career reception for Ronnie Bell, surpassing the 56-yard touchdown he scored against Nebraska in 2018.
• Ronnie Bell's 81 receiving yards matched his career high set against Army two weeks ago.
• Tight end Sean McKeon's six-yard touchdown catch was his second of the year and the sixth of his career.
• Wide receiver Tarik Black's two-point conversion was U-M's first since last season against Wisconsin when Patterson found Nico Collins in the end zone for two points.
• Defensive career highs for U-M include Josh Metellus' eight tackles and Cameron McGrone's six tackles.
• Linebacker Cameron McGrone saw action as a reserve player and was credited with his first career tackle. McGrone finished the game with six total stops and five of the solo variety.
• Senior viper Khaleke Hudson totaled 14 tackles, one shy of his career high of 15. He also chipped in a sack and a tackle for loss.
