Big Ten Cancels Remainder of Conference Men's Basketball Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Big Ten Conference on Thursday (March 12) canceled the remainder of the 2020 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, effective immediately.
"The main priority of the Big Ten Conference continues to be the health, safety and wellness of our student-athletes, coaches, administrators, fans and media as we continue to monitor all developing and relevant information on the COVID-19 virus," the conference said in its statement.
No. 9-seeded Michigan was scheduled to play No. 8 seed Rutgers at noon in the day's first second-round game.
