ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football program announced Wednesday (Dec. 15) the signing of 23 student-athletes to the Wolverines' 2022 recruiting class. Michigan inked the eighth-ranked recruiting class according to Rivals and the ninth-ranked class by 247Sports.
U-M addressed every position group in this year's recruiting class and placed a strong emphasis on the the offensive and defensive skill positions, signing six defensive backs, three wide receivers, two tight ends, two quarterbacks and one running back. The Wolverines addressed all three levels on defense, adding two defensive linemen, three linebackers and the six players in the secondary. On offense, Michigan added three offensive linemen and the eight skill position players.
Michigan signed players from 15 different states, including two international players. The core of this year's recruiting class includes three players from California and two players from Colorado, Florida, Illinois and Tennessee.
