ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The University of Michigan ice hockey team's full schedule for the 2021-22 season was completed Monday (Aug. 30) with the Big Ten's announcement of the conference slate. Michigan will play the other six Big Ten teams four times each in a 24-game league schedule.
Michigan's non-conference schedule, announced July 29, features 12 games with nine being played at Yost Ice Arena.
The Wolverines will begin the league schedule by hosting Wisconsin on Oct. 28-29. Michigan and Michigan State are slated to compete on Nov. 5-6 and again Feb. 11-12, with the site of each game still to be determined.
After a Thursday-Friday series at Penn State on Nov. 11-12, Notre Dame will come to town Nov. 19-20, and Minnesota will visit Yost two weeks later on Dec. 3-4. A trip to Columbus, Ohio, to face Ohio State awaits the Wolverines on Dec. 10-11 for the final conference games of the calendar year.
Following the Great Lakes Invitational (Dec. 29-30) and a home series with UMass (Jan. 8-9), Michigan will host Penn State on Jan. 14-15 and then make back-to-back trips west, first to Minnesota on Jan. 21-22 and then Wisconsin on Jan. 28-29.
After the Wolverines and Spartans finish their season series Feb. 11-12, the final conference home games for U-M have Ohio State in town Feb. 18-19, and the Wolverines will close the regular season Feb. 25-26 at Notre Dame.
The Big Ten Tournament will return to campus sites, starting with a best-of-three first-round series March 4-6. The semifinals will take place on March 12 and the championship on March 19.
The NCAA Regionals are scheduled for March 25-27, while the Frozen Four will be held April 7 and 9 at TD Bank Arena in Boston.
Information regarding game times and television network selection will be forthcoming from the Big Ten as it becomes available.
Michigan ice hockey season tickets are currently on sale, with single-game tickets slated to go on sale at a later date.
Michigan Athletics is implementing mobile tickets this year to make the ticketing experience even more simple, safe and secure.
