Patrick Maloney (April 26)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Patrick Maloney earned his second Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor this season after keeping both his singles and doubles streaks alive as Michigan topped MSU 6-1 in the final match of the regular season. Maloney played his first match at No. 1 doubles, with partner Nick Beaty, and the duo posted its 12th straight win. They are now 14-1 in dual play and 6-0 in the B1G. In singles, Maloney played his second straight match at No. 2 and won with matching 6-2 scores for his 11th consecutive singles win. He is now 13-1 in dual play and 5-0 in B1G. » Big Ten Release
Patrick Maloney (April 5)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Patrick Maloney was named the Co-Big Ten Athlete of the Week after going 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles as Michigan swept Illinois and No. 25 Northwestern on the road last weekend. On Friday (April 1), he and partner Nick Beaty defeated No. 61 Olivier Stuart/Sophosothando Montsi 7-6 (5). On Sunday (April 3), the pair won their ninth straight match with a 7-6 (6) win over Simen Bratholm/Brian Berdusco. Maloney also won his singles match at No. 3, rebounding from a first set loss to take the final two and give Michigan the 5-2 win. » Big Ten Release
Nick Beaty (March 22)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Nick Beaty guided Michigan to a 3-0 week, as the Wolverines blanked No. 2 Ohio State (4-0), No. 5 Baylor (4-0) and No. 16 Columbia (7-0). He went 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles, clinching victories for Michigan in both the Columbia and Baylor matches. On Monday (March 14), he won 6-2 at No. 2 doubles with Patrick Maloney and went on to clinch the match win at No. 6 singles in straight sets. On Friday (March 18), he topped OSU's Justin Boulais in matching 6-4 sets after taking down Cannon Kingsley/JJ Tracy 6-4 in doubles. On Sunday (March 20) after a 6-4 win over Baylor's Adrian Boitan/Tadeas Paroulek, he clinched the win for Michigan at No. 6 singles in three sets. » Big Ten Release
Ondrej Styler (March 8)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Ondrej Styler was named the Big Ten Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (March 8). He clinched Michigan's 4-1 win over No. 1 TCU last Wednesday (March 2), winning at No. 2 singles. He defeated No. 16-ranked Jean Carlos Aguilar 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. He also earned a win at No. 1 doubles with partner Gavin Young, defeating No. 5- ranked Luc Fomba and Jake Fearnley, 6-2. This was the first time Styler/Young played at No. 1 doubles this season. On Saturday (march 5), Styler followed up with a win at No. 1 singles, taking down Central Florida's Lleyto Cronje 6-3, 6-1. It marked his first match playing at No. 1 this season as Michigan claimed a 7-0 team victory. » Big Ten Release
Andrew Fenty (March 2)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Andrew Fenty captured his second Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor in three weeks after helping Michigan defeat Notre Dame (Feb. 24). He handed No. 89-ranked Axel Nefve his first loss of the season, as Nefve entered the match 6-0. After splitting the first two sets at No. 1 singles, they went to a 10-point tiebreaker to decide the match. Nefve took a two-point lead, 9-7, but Fenty rallied to win five of the last six points for a 6-4, 3-6, 12-10 win. It is Fenty's fifth career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award. » Big Ten Release
Andrew Fenty (Feb. 15)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- Andrew Fenty earned the Big Ten Big Ten Athlete of the Week after defeating No. 63 Olivier Stuart in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 as Michigan topped Illinois 4-1 on Friday (Feb. 11). The win snapped the Wolverines's six-match winless skid against the Illini that dated back to 2017. » Big Ten Release
