Guided by head coach Jennifer Klein, the University of Michigan women's soccer team had one of its best seasons in program history, highlighted by a Big Ten Tournament championship, an NCAA Elite Eight appearance and an 18-4-3 overall record.

Team Highlights
• Michigan's 18 wins tied for the most in program history, and its 12-1-1 home record tied for the best home mark in program history.
• Following a 12-3-3 regular season, U-M earned the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament with a 6-2-2 conference mark and defeated Penn State 3-1 at U-M Soccer Stadium. The Wolverines then knocked off Purdue 4-1 and top-seeded Rutgers 1-0 in Piscataway, N.J., for the teams first Big Ten Tournament championship since 1999.
• Michigan won its 300th match as a varsity program with a 2-1 win over Cincinnati on Sept. 12.
• U-M advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals for the third time in program history (2002, 2013).
• Heading into the NCAA Tournament, U-M had a 15-3-3 record and rattled off NCAA Tournament wins over Bowling Green (3-0), Wake Forest (2-0) and Tennessee (3-0). However, the Wolverines' season ended in the quarterfinals with a 1-0 defeat against Florida State, surrendering the lone goal of the match with less than a minute to play in overtime.
• In the final United Soccer Coaches Poll, U-M was ranked No. 7. Michigan began the season unranked in the poll, but was ranked in 10 of 12 iterations. In the NCAA RPI, the Wolverines were as high as No. 6 in match week seven and were ranked No. 5 heading into the NCAA Tournament.
• U-M scored 46 goals on the season, tied for second most in program history and boasted 12 clean sheets to tie for second most in program history.

Individual Highlights
• Senior defender Alia Martin became the second Wolverine in program history to earn first team All-America honors, joining Nkem Ezurike (2013). Martin also was named a MAC Hermann Award semifinalist, becoming the third player in program history to earn the distinction (Abby Crumpton, finalist 2002; Ezurike, semifinalist 2013)
• Five players earned United Soccer Coaches All-North Region honors, with Nicki Hernandez, Raleigh Loughman and Martin taking home first-team honors. Hillary Beall and Sarah Stratigakis earned second-team accolades. Michigan and Rutgers tied for the most honorees in the conference with five.
