Elliott, Flores Named to ABCA All-Region Teams

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- University of Michigan junior outfielder Clark Elliott and junior outfielder/ designated hitter Tito Flores have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/ Rawlings All-Midwest Region team in an announcement made Wednesday (June 15). Elliott earned first team honors while Flores earned second team honors. Â
Elliott ranked among the Big Ten Conference leaders in most offensive categories as he put up big power numbers from the leadoff spot in the Wolverines' batting order. The Big Ten Conference Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, Elliott batted .337 in 59 starts with 17 doubles, 16 home runs, three triples and 69 RBI for an OPS of 1.090. He led Michigan with a .460 on-base percentage and was second on the team with 19 stolen bases in 23 attempts.
Flores
Flores started the year as Michigan's left fielder before settling primarily into the designated hitter role for the Wolverines. The Detroit, Mich. native ranked among Michigan's power leaders and tied for the team lead with 19 doubles to go along with 11 home runs and 49 RBI.
Michigan finished its season with a 34-28 record, advancing to the NCAA Division I Tournament, where it finished as the runner-up in the Louisville Regional. Â
