ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's gymnastics coach Bev Plocki announced Wednesday (June 8) the addition of Lily Clapper (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Paige Thaxton (Westland, Mich.) to the 2023 roster.
"We are so excited to have two of our local Michigan athletes joining our program," said Plocki. "Lily Clapper and Paige Thaxton have both had stellar level-10 careers and competed at the national level for multiple years.
"Paige was the 2021 national uneven bar champion and finished sixth on the beam before sustaining an ankle injury that ended her season, while Lily finished eighth on the bars, beam and in the all-around at the 2022 national championship," added Plocki. "These young women have a lot left in the tank and we look forward to what they can accomplish in the next four years as Wolverines."
