The graduate student started fast, running 82nd through the first 1,000 meters of the championship race. Windemuller fell back over the next 2K, checking in at 112th overall at the 3,000 meter-mark. She picked up 20 spots over the final half of the 6K run to finish at 92nd in a field of 247 runners.
Windemuller logged her best finish at an NCAA Championships, surpassing her previous finish of 21:48.8 last season in Stillwater, Okla.
