ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced Friday (Feb. 10) the season ticket information and pricing for enrolled students during the 2023-24 academic year. The student renewal deadline for football, men's basketball and ice hockey is March 24.
Currently enrolled students who purchased a season ticket (football/basketball/ice hockey) or were on a waitlist for the 2022-23 academic year will be able to buy 2023 season tickets between March 9-24.
Enrolled students who do not currently have season tickets (football/basketball/ice hockey) or were not on a season ticket waitlist for the 2022-23 academic year will have access to purchase 2023 season tickets between the dates of March 20-24.
The student ticket price for football is unchanged at $27 per game. With one fewer home game during the 2023 season, the total is $189 ($105 need-based) for the Wolverines' home schedule.
The student ticket prices for both men's basketball and ice hockey will remain unchanged at $175 ($105 need-based) and $150 ($90 need-based), respectively.
The need-based program provides reduced-priced tickets for students who meet Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria. The process for reduced pricing will be communicated to those eligible students by the Office of Financial Aid. Michigan's need-based ticketing model for students, now entering its ninth year, has an application deadline of Feb. 24.
The deadline for returning students to request tickets for the three identified sports is March 24. If demand exceeds supply, returning students can join a waitlist and may be considered following the incoming student sale.
In addition to their game ticket, students will receive a free official season T-shirt with the purchase of the season ticket for football. For basketball/hockey, there will be a T-shirt giveaway at a select game during the 2023-24 season.
Following is the pricing for the three sports and the need-based pricing:
Sport | 2023-24 Price | Federal Pell Grant Eligible Price |
Football | $189 | $105 |
Men's Basketball | $175 | $105 |
Ice Hockey | $150 | $90 |
There will be a $15 processing fee applied to the entire order.
Newly enrolled students (for the 2023-24 academic year) will have the opportunity to purchase season tickets between June 19-30.
Students interested in ice hockey student season tickets will be able to join a student hockey interest list from June 19-30. The Athletic Department will offer hockey student season tickets to students on the interest list by a lottery and expect to hear by Aug. 11.
Students can attend any other Michigan varsity sporting event free of charge with a valid Mcard.
Like past seasons for football, attendance points from the 2022 season will determine student seating. Students with the highest point totals will be seated lower in the student section. Students who did not receive attendance points in 2022 will be seated higher in the student section but still lower than incoming students for 2023.
For each game that students attend, they will receive three attendance points. Students receive an additional three points for arriving (ticket scanned) 30 minutes before the game. Any students who transfer their tickets will receive three points maximum.
Students can earn up to 36 points for the 2023 season, equivalent to arriving at six games at least 30 minutes before kickoff. The lowest point game for each student is dropped.
