ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball redshirt-freshman Will Tschetter was named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Team on Tuesday (Feb. 21), as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Tschetter, who is pursuing a degree in Earth & Environmental Science, has played in 20 games in his first full season with the Wolverines after redshirting last season. With two starts under his belt, he has been a pivotal role player for U-M, averaging 2.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game. He recently tied his career-best with seven points in the win over Michigan State (Feb. 18).Â
Tschetter becomes the fourth Wolverine to earn All-District honors, joining three-time recipient Zack Novak (2010-11-12), Franz Wagner (2021) and Hunter Dickinson (2022).
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.
