Wakeland Named to CSC Academic All-America Third Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Clark Wakeland of the University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team has been named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communications Academic All-American third team, the organization announced Tuesday (March 21).

Wakeland is a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in aerospace engineering. In the pool, the Austin, Texas, native excelled on the national level at Georgia Tech before this season at Michigan. This year, he collected a season's best in the 500-yard freestyle (4:34.56) in the meet against Wisconsin and Pittsburgh (Jan. 28) and in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.36) against Ohio State on Jan. 21.
