Following heavy winds and rains threatening in the practice round, the 14-team field headed out for Saturday's (March 4) first round with rain falling. As water collected on the course, play was suspended and the second round was canceled, reducing Florida's home event to 36 holes.
Returning Sunday morning, Borja's 73 (+3) and Dy's 74 (+4) highlighted U-M's opening 298 tally to put it 10th after completing the first 18 holes. Immediately heading into the second round, Dy used an even-par 70, while Borja and junior Monet Chun each had 72s to help the Wolverines improve with a 291, but keeping them in the 10th spot with a 589 total.
