
Big Ten Announces 2023-24 Ice Hockey Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The reigning Big Ten Tournament champion University of Michigan ice hockey team will begin conference play by hosting rival Ohio State on Oct. 20-21, the Big Ten Conference announced on Monday (Aug. 28) in its release of the Big Ten schedule.
The schedule is pending television selections. Start times and television designation will follow in the coming weeks.
After a non-conference series with Lindenwood at home, the Wolverines will head to Wisconsin for a two-game set at the Kohl Center on Nov. 3-4.
Two straight home series follow, first with Minnesota visiting Yost on Nov. 10-11 and Penn State on Nov. 17-18.
Following a non-conference trip to St. Cloud on Thanksgiving weekend, Michigan will take on Notre Dame in South Bend Dec. 1-2 -- the final games of the 2023 calendar year.
Michigan will take a break for the holidays and the 2024 World Junior Championships, which takes place Dec. 26 - Jan. 5 in Sweden.
The Maize & Blue will meet the Red, White and Blue in an exhibition game at against the US National Team Development Program at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth on Jan. 6.
First-year program Stonehill will be the final non-conference opponent on the docket, the following weekend.
The B1G slate will resume with a home-and-home series with Michigan State on Jan. 19-20 and with Wisconsin coming to town for two on Jan. 26-27.
A rematch with Ohio State in Columbus is on tap for Feb. 2-3 before Michigan hosts MSU on Friday, Feb. 9. Michigan will defend its five-time reigning Duel in the D title on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Little Caesars Arena. The Wolverines will be the visiting team in that game.
Michigan then visits Penn State for a pair on Feb. 16-17 and hosts Notre Dame on Feb. 23-24, which will serve as Senior Weekend. The regular season will end with a series at Minnesota on March 1-2.
The B1G Tournament quarterfinal series is set for March 8-10, with the semifinal on March 18 and the championship on March 25.
Season tickets are sold out for the 2023-24 season, but fans can join the Wolverines at Yost with other ticket options.
