Another Top-10 Matchup on Tap as Michigan Travels to No. 4 Minnesota

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team (10-3-1, 4-0-0 Big Ten) faces another top-10 test as they travel to No. 4 Minnesota (13-2-1, 6-0-0 Big Ten) this weekend to play a two-game set. The teams face off on Friday (Dec. 6) at 7 p.m., CST on FS1 and Saturday (Dec. 7) at 5 p.m. CST on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan remains at No. 6 in the latest edition of the USCHO poll after splitting with No. 7 Western Michigan in a home-and-home series last weekend. Will Felicio led the Wolverines in scoring over with a goal, his first, and an assist. Cameron Korpi earned a win in net with 17 saves.
• Michigan is now 10-3-1 on the season, and No. 6 in the latest Pairwise ranking. The Wolverines are tied with Wisconsin for third in the Big Ten standings with 11 points, but have four games in hand over the Badgers as well as Minnesota, which has 17 points in six games. They are followed by Michigan State with 12 points in four games.
• Michigan is 137-154-20 against Minnesota in the all-time series. On the road, the Wolverines are 57-90-9 but have won the last two games there, a 6-5 overtime win to split the series and followed up with a 2-1 win in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal.
• Michigan's power play is at 25.5 percent, slighlty higher than Minnesota's 24.6 percent conversion rate. The Wolverines' penalty-kill percentage is 83, also better than Minnesota's 76.5 percent.
• With 3.64 goals per game, Michigan ranks eighth in the nation in scoring offense. Rookie Michael Hage leads the team with 17 points in 13 games, netting a team-high nine goals and eight assists and averaging 1.30 points per game. He led the nation's rookies in scoring in November with 10 points in seven games as Michigan went 7-1 against top-tier opponents.
• Evan Werner, who has earned two Big Ten Stars of the Week, follows Hage in scoring with 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 14 games. T.J. Hughes follows with 12 points and is four away from 100 career points, and Garrett Schifsky has 11. Jacob Truscott leads the defensemen with nine points and led the nation's defensemen in scoring during November with nine points in eight games.
• Logan Stein and Korpi continue to split playing time in net. The graduate transfer has a 6-2 record with a .910 save percentage and a 2.45 goals-against average. Korpi is 4-1-1 with an .895 save percentage and a 2.82 GAA.
• Michigan is 3-0 in one-goal games this season and 2-0-1 in overtime games.
