
Records From Brady and Foster in Boston Highlight Three-Site Day of Competition

U-M Team Finishes: No Team Scoring at all three events

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team competed in three meets on Saturday (Feb. 10) at the Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by Clemson, the Windy City Invitational hosted by Wisconsin, and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.
David Hemery Valentine Invitational
Nick Foster became the second Wolverine to set a record this weekend, setting the program standard for the mile with a time of 3:54.48. The previous record (Nate Brannen, 3:55.11) fell after nearly 20 years, having been set in 2005. Foster finished 11th in the event.
Tom Brady followed with a record-breaking performance of his own, setting the 5,000-meter run program record with a time of 13:24.16. Brady set the previous record (13:33.83) in December, also at Boston University. He finished 12th in the event.  Â
Windy City Invitational
In the 800-meter run invite section, Camden Law earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:50.60, while Kepler Huntress set a personal-best time of 1:51.52 for a sixth-place finish.
U-M finished 4-5-6 in the mile, with Trent McFarland (4:02.82) placing fourth, Riley Flemington (4:03.70) placing fifth, and Ian Hill placing sixth with a personal best of 4:04.62. Michael Hancock also set a personal best time (4:05.96) for a ninth-place finish.
Caleb Jarema (7:59.12) and Jozef Meyers (8:08.54) set personal bests to finish eighth and 13th, respectively, in the 3,000-meter run.
The jumpers had a strong day in the triple jump, with Berachiah Ajala finishing second with a mark of 15.33m (50 feet, 3.5 inches) and Tianhao Wei finishing fourth with a mark of 15.16m (49 feet, 9 inches).

Dubem Amene was slated to run in the 220-meter dash, but did not compete.
Up next, U-M will close out its regular-season indoor home slate hosting the Silverston Invitational on Friday (Feb. 16) at 3:30 p.m. at the U-M indoor Track Building.
