
Brady Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Tom Brady of the University of Michigan men's track and field was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday (June 18).
Brady, a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in management, holds a 3.75 grade-point average and is a 2023 first team Academic All-American.
On the track, Brady capped his stellar Michigan career with a Big Ten title, two program records and three All-America honors in the 2023-24 season. During the cross country season, the Park Ridge, Ill., native finished third at the Big Ten Championships and the NCAA Great Lakes Region before finishing 27th at the NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors. He also was named a USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic Athlete.
Brady set the program indoor 5,000-meter run record (13:24.16) and the outdoor 10,000-meter run record (28:21.89), capturing his second straight Big Ten title in the outdoor 10,000-meter run. At the NCAA Championships, Brady finished in 16th place in the indoor 5,000-meter run and 15th in the outdoor 10,000-meter run. He earned second team All-America nods for both performances.
To receive Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
