• Today's announced attendance of 111,373 marked the 329th consecutive game with a crowd of over 100,000 at Michigan Stadium.
• Today's honorary captain, Jake Long (2003-07 at U-M), was a two-time first-team All-American and two-time Big Ten Lineman of the Year with the Wolverines. The No. 1 pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2008, he played nine NFL seasons and was twice named All-Pro (first-team in 2010).
• Today's loss drops U-M to 62-53-6 across 121 meetings in the all-time series. The Wolverines lost their first matchup in this rivalry since 2019, ending a four-game winning streak, which was tied for the program's third-longest streak in series history (tied with 1988-91; longer streaks: 1922-27, six straight; 1901-09, nine straight).
• The team that has won the rushing battle in this game has won the contest in 24 consecutive matchups (2001-present; 2020 not contested).
