
Four Wolverines Named to USA Hockey Camp Roster

PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Four members of the University of Michigan ice hockey team have been named to the USA World Junior Championship preliminary roster, it was announced on Monday (Dec. 1) by USA Hockey.
Asher Barnett, Will Horcoff, Cole McKinney and Dakoda Rhéaume-Mullen have been named to the 31-man roster and are set to report on Dec. 15. The final 25-player roster will be announced on Dec,. 24.
The 2026 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship will be held Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.
All four players played for the U.S. National Team Development Program and competed at the U18 World Championships. Barnett was captain of the team that won bronze, along with Horcoff and McKinney in 2025, while Rheaume-Mullen captured silver at the U18 in 2024.
The U.S. is the two-time defending gold medalist -- and has 16 podium finishes with seven gold medals, two silver medals and seven bronze medals.
Michigan players have earned 29 medals with USA Hockey at the World Juniors since 1980, including nine in the last three years.
