ROSEMONT, Ill. --Â The University of Michigan women's gymnastics team had four Wolverines named to the All-Big Ten teams as announced by the conference office Monday (March 17).
Graduate student Carly Bauman earned first-team honors for the second time in her career, while Kayli Boozer, Sophia Diaz and Jahzara Ranger were all named to the second team. Diaz and Ranger were also named to the All-Freshman team.
Bauman earned her third Big Ten Conference nod as she was a second-team honoree in 2023 and a first-team honoree in both 2024 and 2025. The West Des Moines, Iowa, native, was a three-time Big Ten Specialist of the Week and has won 13 individual event titles this season, while adding 15 scores of 9.900 or better. Bauman has recorded career highs on all three events as she tied a career-best 9.925 on the floor three times -- and scored a 9.975 on both uneven bars and beam in the 2025 campaign. The graduate senior ranks fourth in the Big Ten on uneven bars and sixth on both the beam and floor.
Boozer notched her first Big Ten honor as she was named to the second team after she earned spots in the lineup on vault, beam and floor in her sophomore season. The Texarkana, Texas, native, won two beam titles in her first season in the lineup, including a career-best 9.950 against Ohio State at Crisler Center. Boozer also notched back-to-back career-best 9.900s on the floor against OSU and Nebraska and scored a career-best 9.900 on the vault at Oklahoma. The sophomore ranks 11th on the beam in the Big Ten Conference and 21st on the floor.
Diaz was named to both the second team and the All-Freshman team as she competed on vault, uneven bars and floor for the Maize and Blue. The Clarksville, Md., native, won six event titles in her first season, including three on vault, two on uneven bars and one on floor. Diaz notched six scores of 9.900 or better as she recorded career-high 9.900s on all three events. The freshman ranks 11th in the Big Ten Conference on the uneven bars and 18th on the vault.
Ranger was also named to both the second team and the All-Freshman team as she competed as an all-arounder to start the season and finished the regular season competing on vault, beam and floor for the Wolverines. The Coconut Creek, Fla., native, kicked off her collegiate campaign with four straight titles as she won the beam with a 9.900 in week one and earned the floor victory with a 9.900 in week two. Ranger followed it up with a second 9.900 on the beam in week three and notched her first all-around win at Washington and added a final vault title at the Big Ten Quad Meet. Ranger recorded seven scores of 9.900 or better with a career-high 9.900 on vault and beam and career-best 9.925 on the floor and earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week nods, while ranking 15th in the conference on the beam and 18th on the floor.
Graduate student Reyna Guggino was also named Michigan's Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship Award honoree.
The honorees and the rest of the U-M squad will compete in the Big Ten Conference Championships Saturday (March 22) at 5 p.m. at Crisler Center.
