GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The University of Michigan football team finished the 2025 NFL Draft with a strong showing as running back Kalel Mullings and offensive tackle Myles Hinton were drafted during the sixth round of the annual league selection meetings completed Saturday (April 26). The Wolverines had seven players selected during the three-day event held at Lambeau Field and the adjacent Titletown District in Green Bay, Wis.
Mullings was the first Wolverine to hear his name called on day three as the Tennessee Titans made him the 188th overall pick. The 12th selection of the sixth round, Mullings started his career as a linebacker before settling into a role at running back. He capped his 56-game career as a Wolverine by sharing the Bo Schembechler MVP Award for the 2024 team. Mullings was the team's leading rusher with 948 yards on 185 carries and scored 12 touchdowns to earn All-Big Ten third-team accolades. For his career, Mullings carried the ball 235 times for 1,202 yards (5.1 avg.) and scored 16 touchdowns while contributing 26 tackles and one pass breakup on defense.
Three picks after Mullings, the Philadelphia Eagles made Hinton the second Wolverine offensive lineman to join the organization in the past two drafts -- guard Trevor Keegan was a fifth-round pick last year. Hinton was the 15th pick of the sixth round and the 191st overall selection in the draft. He played two seasons for the Maize and Blue after transferring from Stanford, appearing in 23 games with 15 starts along the offensive line: four at right tackle and 11 at left tackle. Hinton earned honorable mention All-Big Ten in 2024 after starting 10 contests at left tackle.
Remaining draft-eligible members of the Michigan football program can sign free agent contracts with NFL teams.
