ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its All-American Scholars on Wednesday (July 2), with rising senior Josh Eernisse and rising sophomore Hunter Hady from the University of Michigan ice hockey team on the list.
This marks the second consecutive year Eernisse has been recognized, while Hady makes the list in his first year of eligibility.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade-point average for each semester and had to appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and backup goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
Eernisse played in all 36 games for the Wolverines this season and tallied 11 points. Hady, a defenseman, appeared in 32 games and had one point.
The Wolverines will open the 2025-26 season on Oct. 3-4 hosting Mercyhurst.
