PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The No. 7-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team put up 31 points in the first quarter and never looked back, recording a 94-60 win over Rutgers on Thursday evening (Jan. 22) at Jersey Mike's Arena. The win marked the 300th win at Michigan for J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Women's Basketball Coach Kim Barnes Arico, making her the first basketball coach in school history to reach 300 wins in Ann Arbor.
Michigan was balanced yet again offensively, with five Wolverines scoring in double figures.
