ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team closed out the weekend Saturday (March 28) competing at both the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational at Cobb Stadium and the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility, highlighted by a meet record and two top-10 program performances.
Raleigh Relays
Michigan swept the top four spots in the 800-meter run, led by Camden Law, who set a meet record with a time of 1:46.80. Miles Brown finished second (1:47.16), Trent McFarland placed third (1:47.25) and John O'Reilly took fourth (1:47.70). McFarland and O'Reilly recorded the No. 8 and No. 9 times on Michigan's all-time performers list, respectively, while Law and Brown both finished within 0.12 seconds of their personal bests.
Henry Dixon placed 14th with a time of 1:50.08.
Hurricane Collegiate Invitational
Josh Huisman finished second in the shot put with a season-best mark of 18.87m (61-11), coming just 0.08m shy of his personal best.
In the 400-meter dash, Tyler Baker placed 17th with a time of 53.13.
The Wolverines will return to the Sunshine State for the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla., on April 3-4.
