ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The University of Michigan women's golf team closed strong with a final-round 296 to finish 10th with a 906 54-hole total at the Coach Mo Classic, held at St. Johns Golf & Country Club, in St. Augustine, Fla.
After an opening-round 312, the Wolverines showed steady improvement with back-to-back sub-300 rounds of 298 and 296 over the final two days against a competitive 16-team field.
Senior Lauren Sung paced Michigan for a third straight event and the fifth time this season, tying for 17th with a 220 total (76-73-71). She capped her tournament with a 1-under 71, recording 13 pars and three birdies in her final round.
Freshman Jaymie Ng delivered a steady performance, tying for 36th at 226 (77-76-73) and finishing with a 1-over 73 that featured three birdies. Senior Sydney Sung, competing individually, also tied for 36th at 226 (76-81-69), highlighted by a final-round 3-under 69 with seven birdies -- one of the lowest rounds of the event.
Senior Mara Janess tied for 58th at 232 (81-74-77), while sophomore Thomasine Bartholdson finished tied for 68th at 233 (83-75-75). Freshman Reese Ng rounded out the lineup, tying for 62nd at 234 with three rounds of 78.
Michigan will wrap up its regular season at the Terrapin Invitational (April 5-6) at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Md., where it will look to defend its 2025 team title. During that event, U-M had five top-25 individual finishes, led by Lauren Sung's third-place showing.
