
Duke Signs Pro Deal with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- University of Michigan ice hockey senior Tyler Duke has signed a professional contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, the organization announced Thursday (April 16).
Duke played a key role on Michigan's blue line this season, logging heavy minutes and ranking among the nation's top defensemen in 5-on-5 plus/minus. Serving as an alternate captain, he led all Big Ten defensemen in expected goal differential at 5-on-5 and ranked among the league's best in goals allowed and shot differential while on the ice.
Duke appeared in all 40 games, totaling 18 points (two goals, 16 assists), posting a +27 rating and leading the team with 52 blocked shots.
Over his Michigan career, Duke helped the Wolverines capture two Big Ten Tournament titles and make two Frozen Four appearances. He concludes his collegiate tenure with 147 games played, 59 points and 173 blocked shots.
