
Four Wolverines Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Ole Eidam, Colin Geer and Tyler Ray of the University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the 2025-26 season, the organization announced on Tuesday (April 7). To receive the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
Ben-Shitrit is a senior pursuing a degree in computer science and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. He earned All-America distinction for his part in the 800-yard freestyle relay that finished seventh overall at the NCAA Championships.
Eidam is a sophomore enrolled in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and is a first-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He was named an All-American for his part in three different top-eight relay finishes at the national championships.
Geer is a junior pursuing a degree in economics. Geer was named Academic All-Big Ten and earned All-America honors for his efforts on the 200- and 800-yard freestyle relay teams at the NCAA Championships.
Ray is a senior pursuing a degree in business administration and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He put together a stellar final season, winning the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events at the Big Ten Championships and breaking the school record in both events. For his efforts, Ray landed on the All-Big Ten first team and the All-America first team and was named the 2026 Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships.
Ray advances to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members. Honorees on the first, second and third teams will be announced on April 29.
