The University of Michigan women's track and field team concluded the 2026 season earning a pair of Big Ten medals and five first- and second-team All-America citations.




Individual Highlights
• Amare Harlan earned points in a pair of events at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a third-place finish in the long jump and an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter dash. Samantha Hastie finished fifth in the mile finals to pick up four points, while grad transfer Chyler Turner placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles. Elizabeth Tapper landed on the shot put podium for the second year in a row with a fourth-place finish and Kourtney Rathke finished eighth in the pole vault in her postseason debut.
• Tapper qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the shot put as Michigan's lone representative, earning her first career first team All-America citation with an eighth-place finish.
• A pair of freshmen broke program records, with Emmry Ross setting the indoor 800-meter run standard (2:02.31) and Keyanna O'Tey setting the 200-meter dash record (23.00 seconds).
• Sidney Green took silver in the 400-meter hurdles for the second straight year at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. Ross placed fourth in the 800-meter run, while Hannah Pricco placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
• Michigan qualified 14 individuals and two relays for the NCAA East First Round, setting one program record and punching four individual tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The 4x100-meter relay team of Alyssa Bean, Harlan, Myla Wilkes and O'Tey set a new program standard of 43.83 for a 16th-place finish.
• Abigail Russell and Tapper advanced to the NCAAs for the second straight year in the shot put, while Harlan earned a championship berth in the long jump for the first time in her career. Green made her individual NCAA debut in the 400-meter hurdles.
• Tapper finished seventh and Russell finished 13th, improving upon their 14th- and 21st-place finishes from 2025. Harlan placed 13th in the long jump, and Green placed 22nd in the 400-meter hurdles. Tapper earned first team All-America honors while Russell and Harlan earned second team All-America honors.
