U-M Athletic Medicine Facilities
There are currently 18 Athletic Training Rooms utilized by University of Michigan student-athletes. These include four main and 14 satellite facilities. These facilities are used to provide treatment and injury rehabilitation to the student-athletes. The main athletic training rooms also house the offices for all of the athletic trainers.
Main Athletic Training Rooms
The main athletic training rooms are used to provide treatment and injury rehabilitation to University of Michigan student-athletes. These facilities have separate taping, treatment, rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and staff office areas. The main athletic training rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art modalities and rehabilitation equipment that is used to provide comprehensive treatment of injuries to all the student-athletes. These athletic training rooms also have various recovery modalities that are used to enhance recovery from training activities and competition.
Main athletic training rooms are located at the following facilities:
- Schembechler Hall
- South Complex Performance Center
- Crisler Center
- Canham Natatorium
South Complex Performance Center and Schembechler Hall have dedicated medical suites. These areas hold daily physician clinics for the student-athletes. Both medical suites have multiple examination rooms and medical diagnostic equipment, including fluoroscopy, musculoskeletal ultrasound and ECG.
Satellite Athletic Training Rooms
The satellite facilities are used to provide athletic training services to the varsity teams during practices and home events. These facilities are equipped with various modalities that are used for treatment of injuries and recovery.
