We greatly look forward to getting to know all of our prospective members for the 2026-27 season. We encourage you to carefully look over all of the audition requirements provided below, and also hope that you will take the time to research and interact with the Michigan community prior to pursuing our audition process.
Members of the University of Michigan Dance Team are not only athletes, but are also valued students within the university. While dancing at the collegiate level is an exciting opportunity, the University of Michigan differs greatly from many other universities you may be interested in. We are “the best university in the world,” and our student athletes are held to the highest caliber of athletic and academic performance. We not only expect our team members to compete at the highest level during MDT appearances and at UDA College Nationals, but we also intend for our athletes to excel academically. Our hybrid recruitment model echoes this sentiment, as it is vital that prospective members apply to the University and express their interest in the school prior to pursuing a spot on the Michigan Dance Team.
