To be eligible to order and maintain a Michigan basketball ticket, you must intend to register for classes for the entire Fall 2025 term and Winter 2026 term.
The Ticket Office will check your registration status with the Registrar's Office. If you are not properly registered prior to the beginning of the season, you will be unable to claim tickets as a basketball season ticket holder. If you are not registered after the season begins, you will be unable to claim tickets for the remaining games and no refund will be issued. You must be enrolled as a University of Michigan student during the Winter semester to be eligible for any post season tickets.

Students who have purchased a student basketball ticket will electronically claim the specific games they wish to attend during various claim periods. These dates will be communicated in the fall. Tickets that are not claimed by student ticket holders are then offered to students on the waitlist, student non-ticket holders, and the general public to ensure a full and loud Crisler Center. No refunds will be issued for games that go unclaimed. See the Student Men's Basketball Ticket Holder Seating Plan for information and frequently asked questions about the claiming process. You can transfer your ticket to a student or non-student for FREE. A student ticket may be used by a non-student and does not need to be validated. However, the non-student MUST still enter through the student entrance. The deadline to transfer your ticket is the start of the game.

Scalping (selling a ticket above face value) violates University policy and Michigan law. Attempting to sell or solicit the sale of a ticket (even at face value) on campus without a permit also violates University policy. Therefore, a violation of these University policies or this Michigan law may result in your ineligibility to purchase tickets in the future even if criminal charges are not filed against you. The Athletic Department reserves the right to declare you ineligible to order tickets if it receives sufficient evidence that a ticket assigned to you was sold or was offered for sale at greater than the face value of the ticket.
-
If you apply for basketball tickets and later decide not to enroll for the Fall 2025 or Winter 2026 terms, you may receive a full refund (less the service charge) provided you send a written request to the Athletic Ticket Office at mtickets@umich.edu prior to Sept. 26, 2025. No phone requests will be accepted. There will be no refunds for students whose tickets have been voided because the student is not properly registered and for games that go unclaimed. Absolutely no refunds will be provided once the 2025-26 basketball season begins.
Returned checks will be assessed a $30 fee. If you do not honor your returned check promptly, your ticket order will be cancelled. You will be responsible for the $30 fee before you may purchase tickets to any Michigan sporting event.
