• Son of Todd and Susan Gentry
• Father, Todd, played basketball at BYU (1986-87, 89-90)
• Brother, JT, plays offensive line at BYU
• Working as a full-time Spanish-speaking missionary in, Orem, Utah, as part of his two-year service mission as a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints (through May, 2022)
• Played against now-Michigan teammate Reece Atteberry in the 2017 Colorado Class 5A state semifinals
• Enrolled in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business
