Junior (2020-21)
Outdoor Track & Field
• Scored 8114 points in the decathlon for 2nd at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 9-11) for first-team All-America honors and eight points for Michigan. Along the way, he posted a career-best 1.98m (6-6) in the high jump and particularly strong marks in the 100 meter dash (10.64 (+0.3m/s)), 400 meters (47.30), 110-meter hurdles (14.19 (-0.7 m/s)) and 1,500 meters (4:26.21).
• Ran a leg of the 10th-place 4x400 relay that clocked 3:07.18 at the NCAA East Preliminaries (May 26 & 28) to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
• Scored a school-record 8,238 points in the decathlon for the win at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships (May 14-16), scoring 10 team points, setting a meet record, and posting the No. 2 score in the history of the Big Ten. Established new career bests in the 100 meters (10.40, +1.5m/s), 400 meters (46.78), 1500 meters (4:23.57), outdoor shot put (14.41m/47-3.25), pole vault (4.70m/15-5) and javelin (55.71m/182-9).
• Ran 13.88 (+2.9m/s) in the 110 meter hurdles for 3rd at the B1G Jesse Owens Classic (April 30-May 1) in the prelims, and threw 43.06m (141-3) for 13th in the discus.
• Scored 7732 points in the decathlon for the win at the B1G Husker Invitational (April 16-17), including four event wins in the 100 meters in 10.56 (+0.2m/s), 110-meter hurdles in 10.56 (+0.2m/s), 400 meters in 47.69 and 1,500 meters in 4:38.63. He also achieved outdoor bests in the shot put at 13.62m (44-8.25) and javelin at 53.16m (174-5).
• Ran 14.03 (+4.5m/s) in the 110 meter hurdles for 7th at the B1G North Florida Invitational (April 2-3), and threw 39.34m (129-1) for 22nd in the discus.
Indoor Track & Field
• Earned First-Team All-America honors by scoring a school-record 5995 points in the heptathlon for 3rd at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-13), including career-best marks in the long jump at 7.36m (24-1.75), in the high jump at 1.94m (6-4.5), in the pole vault at 4.56m (14-11.5) and over 1000m in 2:40.07. His overall score tied him for No. 25 in collegiate history and established a new Puerto Rican national record.
• Ran 8.45 in the 60 meter hurdles for 8th at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (Feb. 25-27) after suffering a fall over the final hurdle. Also ran 7.88 in the prelims.
• Scored 5751 points in the heptathlon for the win at the SPIRE B1G Invitational (Feb. 12-13). Along the way, he posted a new indoor career best in the long jump at 7.19m (23-7).
• Ran 6.89 in the 60 meter dash for 2nd at the Gladstein Invitational (Jan. 23), and also threw a career-best 14.85m (48-8.75) for fifth in the shot put.
• Ran 7.88 in the 60 meter hurdles for 2nd at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational (Jan. 16) after running 7.87 in the prelims. Also threw a career-best 13.97m (45-10) for 8th in the shot put and ran a leg of the winning 4x400 relay in 3:11.19.
