Eli Alford is in his first year as an offensive assistant with U-M in 2026. He is in his third year coaching at the collegiate level.
Alford played at Montana as a defensive lineman (2018-22) and earned both his bachelor's degree (2021) and his MBA (2023). In 2024, he joined the staff at the University of Mary, coaching the outside linebackers and special teams units. He was also the pro scout liaison for the Marauders.
His brother, Max, is a linebacker on the 2026 Wolverines, and his cousin, Braydon, is a wide receiver. Eli's uncle, Tony is U-M's running backs coach and run game coordinator.
His late father, Aaron Alford, coached at Southern Utah, Western Illinois, Wyoming, Akron and Utah, the latter (2007-10) during Kyle Whittingham's tenure leading the Utes.
