Gabrielle 'Gabbie' Graves is in her first year as an assistant coach with the University of Michigan rowing program in 2025-26 following a decorated career in Maize and Blue.

Graves, a four-year varsity rower at U-M, entered the coaching role after earning her economics degree from Michigan’s School of Literature, Science, and the Arts in spring, 2025. A native of Seattle, Wash., Graves set various world record times in the 15-16 and 17-18 age categories prior to joining the Wolverines.

At Michigan, Graves was a key contributor on two Big Ten Champion teams (2023, ’24) and earned individual boat gold on each (1V8 and 1V4, respectively). She was named a CRCA All-American (second team) in spring, 2025 and earned two All-Big Ten citations (second team, 2023; first team, 2025) during her career.

A four-year 1V8 athlete, Graves was also a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2023, ’24).
