Whitney Fleming joined the University of Michigan Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning team as a Strength and Conditioning Fellow in May 2022 and was promoted in February 2024 as a full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach. She is responsible for program design and implementation for men's and women's swimming and diving, water polo, cheer and dance.
Prior to joining the Michigan staff, Fleming worked as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Saginaw Valley State University working with softball, men's and women's swimming and diving, women's tennis, and men's soccer (2020-2022). In addition to her direct team responsibilities, she also assisted with training implementation for the football team. Fleming also completed her professional internship with Saginaw Valley's Strength and Conditioning Department. While completing her undergraduate degree at Saginaw Valley, she was a member of the women's varsity soccer team.
Originally from New Baltimore, Michigan, Fleming currently resides in Ann Arbor, Mich.
