Authorized Sellers
Michigan Athletics cannot guarantee that tickets are valid unless purchased from an authorized ticket source. The only authorized sources for tickets to Michigan Athletic events are:
- Michigan Athletics Ticket Office
- SeatGeek - The Official Ticket Marketplace of Michigan Athletics
- The venue where the athletic event is taking place
Ticket Resale
SeatGeek (The Official Ticket Marketplace of Michigan Athletics) is the only official resale marketplace for tickets to Michigan Athletics events.  When you purchase tickets for select events on SeatGeek, the barcodes on those tickets are electronically validated by SeatGeek’s barcode verification technology. The original ticket barcodes are canceled and new, unique tickets are reissued to the purchaser. This process guarantees the authenticity of the tickets.
Sellers utilizing SeatGeek experience several benefits.
- Secure payment
- You protect other Michigan fans from ticket fraud
Counterfeit Tickets
Tickets to all sports are barcoded and will be scanned for validity at the venue entrance. Any counterfeit, invalid, or altered tickets will not be allowed to enter the venue. Michigan Athletics has the right to remove the possessor of counterfeit tickets from the venue, even if the invalid ticket wasn't discovered until after entering the facility. Michigan Athletics will confiscate all fraudulent tickets.
Michigan Athletics strongly encourages fans to purchase tickets only through an authorized source.
Social Media
It is imperative that ticket holders know the potential risks of posting pictures of their tickets online. The barcode is the most valuable piece of information on a ticket. Treat and protect the barcode, and other account information printed on the ticket, as you would your bank/credit card information. On your paper or mobile ticket, there is a unique barcode. If anyone acquires it, they are able to make duplicate tickets to use or sell that could render your tickets invalid.
Never post pictures of your tickets with the barcode visible. This includes paper tickets, print-at-home tickets and mobile tickets -- all tickets with unique barcodes.
Reprinted Tickets
Michigan Athletics is unable to reprint tickets purchased via unauthorized sources such as eBay, Craigslist, ticket brokers, or other agents.
Student Tickets
Student season ticket holders are no longer required to show an Mcard at Gate 10 (student entrance) to gain entry into Michigan Stadium.
If students elect to transfer a game within their season ticket, the recipient will need to show an Mcard or a validation voucher to gain entry at Gate 10. No one shall use the ID of another student.
A student ticket may be used by a non-student if it is validated. The price of a validation voucher varies by game. You can validate the ticket at the Michigan Athletics Ticket Office (1000 South State Street), the Michigan Union (530 South State Street), or Student Will Call (Michigan Stadium Gate 9 – gameday only).
