The game appeared to be heading to overtime until Amber Berendowsky (Brighton, Mich./Brighton HS) launched a perfectly placed shot from 15 yards out to the upper left hand corner of the net just out of the reach of Kentucky keeper Carrie Kuhnell with just five seconds remaining.
Michigan's Carissa Stewart (Topsham, Maine/Mt. Ararat HS) made three saves in goal in picking up her third shutout of the season.
