Penn State Bounces U-M from Big Ten Tourney

Penn State's Kelly Convey scored off a corner kick just over 10 minutes into the contest to put the Nittany Lions up 1-0, an advantage they took into the halftime break. After 60 minutes of scoreless play, Convey added another goal off a corner kick at 70:26 and Bonney Young scored at 80:35 on a free kick to put the game out of reach.
The Wolverines' Jessica Limauro (Troy, Mich./Troy HS) closed the scoring at 82:40 with an assist from Amber Berendowsky (Brighton, Mich./Brighton HS). Carissa Stewart (Topsham, Maine/Mt. Ararat HS) made four saves in goal for Michigan. Her record falls to 7-4-1 on the year.
Michigan will find out tomorrow if its season will continue in the NCAA Tournament. The 48-team NCAA field will be announced Sunday (Nov. 8) at 9:30 p.m.
