Michigan Crowns Four Champions at EMU Open

Four champions were crowned this weekend for the Wolverines: freshman Clark Forward (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold HS) at 149 pounds, redshirt freshman Mike Kulczycki (North Royalton, Ohio/St. Edwards HS) at 157, junior Otto Olson (Everett, Wash./Everett HS) at 184 and sophomore Matt Brink (Muskegon, Mich./Fruitport HS) at the heavyweight spot.
Finishing in second place were junior Mat Warner (Clayton, Mich./Hudson HS) at 125 pounds, redshirt freshman Anthony Holifield (Mt. Morris, Mich./E.A. Johnson HS) at 165 and junior Joe Degain (White Lake, Mich./Clarkston HS) at 197.
Also placing for the Maize and Blue were juniors Matt Michalski (Farmington Hills, Mich./Farmington HS) and Jason Rawls (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg HS) in third place at 141 and 174 pounds, respectively. Freshman Pat Owen (Polson, Mont./Polson HS) came in fifth place at 157 pounds.
