KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The No. 26 Tennessee Lady Volunteers controlled every aspect of the match against the University of Michigan women's tennis team, posting a 9-0 shutout Sunday (Feb. 14) at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Tennessee claimed wins in all six singles matches and the three doubles contests for a shutout victory against the Wolverines. The matches were close, though, as five of the six singles contests were taken to the maximum three sets.
Michigan will take a week off before opening its Big Ten Conference dual match schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 24, against Michigan State. The match will be held at the Varsity Tennis Center beginning at 6 p.m.
