Wolverines Dump No. 4 Minnesota on the Road
Michigan faced its sixth top 10 opponent of the 2000 season on Saturday, Jan. 15, and defeated No. 4 Minnesota 195.125-193.200 in Minneapolis. The difference in the meet was Michigan's performance on the balance beam as the Maize and Blue came up with a season-best beam score of 49.025, while Minnesota struggled to a score of 47.425 on the balance beam. Michigan was also solid on the floor exercise for the second straight meet as the Wolverines out-pointed Minnesota 49.025-48.900 on that event. The Wolverines also outscored Minnesota on the vault 48.575-48.150 while owning the top four individual places on that event.
