Wolverines Pick Up Early Signee from Minnesota

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's golf program has announced the signing of Laura Olin (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) for the 2001-02 season.
Olin has won back-to-back Minnesota Golf Association Girls Player of the Year honors, becoming the first girl ever to repeat as the recipient. In addition to the player of the year honors, Olin also won back-to-back Minnesota Junior Girls State Championships titles. She was the 1999 Minnesota state champion and is a two-time Minnesota high school All-State selection.
"Laura will be a great addition to our program," said Michigan head coach Kathy Teichert. "She has done well in the junior tournaments and will have some impact with us next season. She is an all-around great person and strong student-athlete."
