Hilbert Named to Bauer/CCHA All-Rookie Team

Hilbert led CCHA freshmen in goals and points in league games (14-12-26) while finishing 12th among all players in league scoring and 13th in overall scoring (17-14-31). He finished tied with Jeff Jillson (N. Smithfield, R.I.) for second on the team in scoring with 31 points. His 17 goals were second on the team to only Mike Comrie (Edmonton, Alberta), who scored 18 goals. Six of Hilbert's goals were scored on the power play, and he recorded two game-winning goals.
Hilbert also scored one goal and one assist for two points in his second consecutive trip to the World Junior Championship with Team USA over the holiday break in December.
Cammalleri, who received honorable mention, scored 13 goals and nine assists for 22 points this season for the Wolverines. He was fourth on the team and tied for sixth among freshmen in the CCHA in goals.
Last season, Comrie, Jillson and Josh Blackburn (Choctaw, Okla.) were named to the Bauer/CCHA All-Rookie team.
The five other members of this year's All-Rookie team are David Brisson, a forward from Nebraska Omaha; Chris Gobert, a forward from Northern Michigan; Jimmy Jackson, a defenseman from Northern Michigan; Greg Zanon, a defenseman from Nebraska Omaha; and Ryan Miller, a goaltender from Michigan State.
